Police Departments in The USA Are Now Using E-Bikes!

The Peabody Police Department has just released photos on its Facebook page of a few new acquisitions: two Polaris Sabre electric bikes to be used to patrol bike paths.

According to the Peabody PD:

“Due to the public request for more police presence in the ever expanding bicycle path, the Peabody Police have recently acquired 2 Polaris Sabre bicycles. The Polaris Sabre is a powerful electric bike with a unique pedal-assist drive mode that will enable officers to respond quicker to remote areas in the bike path and other locations.”

We can only guess that if the e-bikes run out of power the bad guys (or girls) get away scot-free! Or maybe they just give chase on foot.
