Though the Noordung’s frame design mirrors retro-inspired café racers like the Vintage Electric Tracker and the Oto Cycles OtoK, it’s like no other electric bike on the market. The Noordung is built from lightweight carbon fibre and weighs less than 40 lbs. and has a stealthy 200W Vixax motor hidden in its seat tube. Only 15 complete bikes will be produced.

Besides the unorthodox choice of motor system, the standout feature of the Noordung is its boombox battery, which contains 32 battery cells, two USB charge ports, two speakers, an air quality monitor and a Bluetooth module. The battery pack offers 400Wh of energy, which should result in a healthy range considering that the Vivax Assist motor only offers 200W of power.

Will customers be willing to pay more than €9,999 (£8,539) for a café racer ebike with a paltry 200W motor? That remains to be seen, however, Noordung has certainly built itself a unique electric bike, and will undoubtedly have its share of fans.
