A Man Was Stopped Riding E-bike the Wrong Way Up the M6

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “We received multiple calls earlier regarding a male on an electric bike on the M6 northbound between junctions 18 and 19 of a cyclist riding in lane 4 towards oncoming traffic.

This took place on Sunday 12 February and the officers who stopped the man said “Thankfully he didn’t cause a collision and police escorted the male off the motorway. He is being summonsed to court.” the man will probably only get a fine, but this situation could have been so much worse.

It makes you wonder if the man was lost, under the influence of something, or just a total idiot! It doesn’t matter how fast your e-bike goes, riding one on the motorway the correct way is a silly thing to do, but the wrong way makes things even worse! But at least no-one was hurt and no accidents occurred.
